Kia Seltos Official Launched | Price | Features
South Korean automaker Kia has launched the Celtos SUV 2021 in India. In addition to the recently unveiled new logo, all variants of the SUV have been updated with new features and more. A total of seventeen new improvements have been made. Many of these features are first in the segment. According to Rush line, the vehicle starts at Rs 9.95 lakh ex-showroom.
The HTX Plus AT 1.5 diesel variant has been dropped. Instead, it has introduced two variants, the HTK Plus IMT 1.5 petrol and the GTX (O) 6MT 1.4 Turbo GDI petrol. Features provided in the higher variants of the current lower and middle variants. Gentle brown leather seats are offered in the HTX Plus variant. The GTX (O) variant is available in black and light brown sports leather seats. Paddle shifters are offered in 7 DCT and AT variants of the GTX Plus variant.
The only change to the HTK variant is the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that enables wireless phone projection. In addition to all the features of the HTK variant, new features have been added to the HTK Plus variant. The HTCK Plus variant features light brown fabric seats (IMT variant), a smart key with a remote engine start feature, a sunroof (IMT variant) with LED roof lamp, and automatic climate control (IMT variant) with silver garnish.
Air Purifier and AI Voice Commands (Sunroof Open and Close, Driver Side Window, Wind Direction Control, Defroster Control, Air Intake Control), OTA Map Updates, Brake Assist, Electro, with Viral and Bacterial Security Zone Management are the main features of the HTX variant.
There is no change in the powertrain options of the SUV. The 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine produces a maximum of 113 bhp and 144 Nm of torque. The transmission options are 6 speed manual, CVT and newer IMT. The 1.5 liter diesel engine produces a maximum of 113 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission options are 6 speed manual and automatic. The 1.4 liter turbo GDI engine produces a maximum of 138 bhp and 242 Nm of torque. The gearbox options are 6 speed manual and 7 speed DCT.
South Korean automaker Kia Motors will launch the Celtos in India on August 22, 2019. The Kia Celtos SUV is the first to go on sale globally in India. Celtos has been breaking sales records in the Indian auto market ever since it hit the road.
Kia launched the revamped Celtos in the Indian market in June 2020. The vehicle is available in 16 variants with three engine options and two trim levels. As part of the Model Year update for the Celtos SUV, Kia added 10 new features throughout the range. Kia Celtos is a direct competitor to Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster, Renault Capture, and Hyundai Creta in the de-segment of the Indian car market.
Kia has also launched the Celtos First Anniversary Edition to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the vehicle in the Indian market. The Celtos Anniversary Edition is based on the mid-spec variant HTX.
